Review: Briogeo Scalp Revival Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo

Every other week or so, I like to use a clarifying shampoo to remove any build-up from my hair. It's like starting with a new canvas. However, my main complaint with most clarifying shampoos is that while they strip impurities from the hair, they don't do much for the scalp, which gets build-up, too.  That's why I really like this salt hair scrub from Christophe Robin, because the salt crystals when massaged into the scalp have a very pleasant and effective exfoliating effect. It was my favorite until I tried this Briogeo exfoliating shampoo. Its particles are smaller and easier to work into the scalp than those in the Christophe Robin product and it has other ingredients that I like, too. For example, tea tree oil has a refreshing, balancing effect. Charcoal soaks up excess oil, but coconut oil keeps your scalp from getting too dry. And finally, it smells wonderful, like a creamy mint.

I have used this for several months and really like it. It's on the expensive side of things for a shampoo at $42 for 8 oz, but it's not meant to be used daily.  I got a good 4 months out of this jar, and am well-pleased with the purchase.
