Review: Molinard Fleur de Figuier Eau de Toilette
Dear readers, welcome to my favorite fig fragrance in the world. It is Molinard's wonderful Fleur de Figuier. I love it because it is not as intensely green and woodsy as most other fig scents. Fleur de Figuier opens with a refreshing blend of sappy fig flowers and musk. It is green and sweet and leafy, but also light - it feels as though you are standing downwind of a fig grove that is in bloom. The drydown becomes more musky as it evolves but the evolution is short. This is definitely one you'll need to refresh often because longevity is one area where it is lacking. If that is a pet peeve for you, move along from this scent. Here is another issue: Molinard appears to have replaced Fleur de Figuier with an updated Fig scent. I haven't tried it, but the description sounds like they reformulated it. *Cue the wailing and gnashing of teeth*
Actually, it's not a huge tragedy because you can get Fleur de Figuier online for about $30. At that price, you can afford to spritz with abandon.
