Review: Sephora Avocado Face Mask
Up next in my round of Sephora sheet mask sampling is Avocado. This one claims to be "nourishing and repairing." Sephora claims it's good for sensitive skin. It has similar "base" ingredients as the Lotus Flower mask - water, glycerin, castor oil, aloe, namely. This also has avocado oil, hence the name. The combination of avocado oil and castor oil means this has high clogging potential for those who are acne prone. Beware. As for me, I'm not particularly, so I figured it safe to try. I simply applied the sheet mask to clean skin, left it on for 15 minutes, and then rubbed all of the excess left on my face into the skin. I felt nice and dewy when I went to bed, but when I woke up, I wasn't pleased. Somehow this managed to make me greasy without absorbing much. I had a lot of oil on my skin along with some fairly pronounced fine lines. This said to me that my skin was actually dehydrated and that my skin could not absorb the moisture from this mask. Not great! So far, Sephora's line of sheet masks are not impressing me much. Still, several more to go, so I will try to keep an open mind.
