Review: Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer

This moisturizer by Juice Beauty purports to contain a powerful antioxidant and peptide combo that should be an excellent anti-aging cocktail for the skin. Don't be fooled by the marketing claims, though. It's packaged in a clear jar, which is basically the worst possible way to preserve the efficacy of antioxidants. It also contains citrus, which is a known skin irritant. I tested it for a few days anyway, just to see how it performed. Frankly, it is one of the worst moisturizers I've tried in a long time. It feels lightweight when you apply it, but it doesn't absorb well, so my skin was left feeling greasy. It made my foundation crease terribly, as a result. The only good thing I can say about it is that it didn't cause any break-outs (but I'm not prone to those, anyway). For $45 or $0, this is a pass.

  1. Hi Sara: I'm so sorry you didn't have a great experience with this moisturizer but you must have one that is an older version as our new moisturizer is in solid white opaque jars. Also note we have multiple chemists working on our formulations and they are a perfect ph for the skin so the Vitamin C in the product is not causing any irritation. contact me and I'll provide you with a new one! 1. Hi Karen,
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my review. I received this jar recently in a beauty subscription box. If you have revised the packaging, you might want to ensure the new stock is being distributed everywhere - I'd hate to think your company is getting rid of old stock via these channels and cheating the customer of a better product. As for freebies, I appreciate the offer, but I don't accept gratis. I feel doing so inevitably biases a review.
