Review: Bliss That's Incredi-Peel Glycolic Resurfacing Pads
I don't usually go for Bliss products but an acquaintance gifted me these glycolic pads and I decided to try them. Basically, it's a box of 30 individually packaged pads that are soaked in glycolic acid, among other benign things like witch hazel, and the acid chemically exfoliates your skin when you apply them. I am a big fan of chemical exfoliants. It sounds scary to a lot of people, but when used appropriately they are actually much gentler on the skin than a physical exfoliant and do a better job of promoting skin cell turnover.
The Bliss box says to use every night. That's insane and will fry your skin barrier. I used these 2-3x per week. To use them, at night just swipe one pad over clean skin. You will probably feel some stinging and tingling, but it shouldn't be too intense. After a few minutes, apply moisturizer (effectively neutralizing most of the acid). You should wake up with a very nice glow. I am at the end of my box and I'm pleased with the condition of my skin. However, I think you can get similar products for far less money. So for that reason alone, I'd recommend saving your $49 and not buying these.
