Review: Christophe Robin Cleansing Mask with Lemon and Cleansing Purifying Scrub
When Sephora started carrying these Christophe Robin hair products, I knew I had to try them. They were developed for colored hair; mine is not colored, but it is very "sensitive", if you will, and prone to brittleness and breakage. My verdict is that they are lovely but the cleansing mask is priced unsustainably for me. I really liked the cleansing mask; it is a rich, pearly substance that smells like bright lemon. You essentially use it like you would a shampoo. My hair felt cleansed but not stripped and it gave it a nice shine. The problem is, I used it up in a month and it costs $49. I can't really justify that price for the results I get.
The Cleansing Purifying Scrub is an interesting treatment. It is essentially a sea salt scrub for your scalp. It feels really nice to use - kind of like you are giving yourself a scalp massage. Be careful to condition after you use it, though, because the salt can be kind of drying. I don't really notice much difference in hair texture after using it but the scalp definitely feels cleaner than ever. I've been using it more sparingly, every two weeks or so, and my jar is still going strong. The price on this one is $51.
