Review: Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in Solstice
I know Urban Decay eyeshadow is one of the most popular brands but...I don't get it. I have never gotten it. I've owned all 3 Naked palettes at various points and could never get them to work for me. Now, I'm trying this Moondust formula because, let's be honest, LOOK at how pretty that shade is. The issue is, it looks far better swatched than on the eyes. Let's start with the texture. These look like powder eyeshadows but you can't really apply them with brushes, which is my preferred application method. Applying with fingers works ok but it's imprecise and messy. Now, let's talk about the color. Somehow, this makes me look like I have a giant glittery bruise. It's that perfect combination of blue, red, and purple to really make those eyes look ill and abused. And finally, I need to discuss the wear. Do you enjoy glittery fallout and patchy eyeshadow at the end of the day? Because that's what I got, even after using a primer that works for every other eyeshadow I own. So, to this product I say, "BYE, Felicia!"
