Review: Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Rosewood Shimmer
I liked this version of the Clarins Lip Perfector better than the balm one. This color, in particular, is gorgeous - a dark nude with gold shimmer. It's more pigmented than the balm version. The texture is basically a lip gloss. I found it fairly moisturizing and as longlasting as it is reasonable to expect a gloss to be. The color was pretty on the lips; subtle, but definitely made a positive difference to my lips' appearance. The shimmer was there but natural. Still, I returned this. Here is why: first, it had that awful vanilla scent that the balm had too, and I really can't stand it. Second, look at this applicator:
It's a sponge tip that you squeeze the product through. Why???? Even after one usage, it looks kind of gross. Can you imagine if you use this a few more times, then maybe forget it in your purse for a week or two? I cannot even go there - the worst concept for a lip product I have ever seen.
