Review: Tom Ford Lip Color Shine in Insidious
I long ago established that I'm not a fan of the Tom Ford lipstick line. I know, I know...blasphemy. But Spanish Pink went on patchy and gave me the worst lip lines ever and I pretty much swore off wasting any more of my hard-earned pennies on Mr. Ford's lip products. I did, however, see this sheerer version of his lipsticks recently when perusing Nordstrom and was intrigued enough to order one in a delicious-looking coral shade, Insidious. The Color Shine formula is, in my opinion, a vast improvement over his plain Lip Color formula. It is moist, fairly long lasting, and yes, sheer, but it did give my lips a very pretty coral tinge. My issue with it is the price: $50. It's quite similar to other formulas that are not as expensive, like Chantecaille's Lip Chics or MAC Sheen Supreme. The Tom Ford packaging is luxe and makes me happy, true, but I'm just not sure it makes me 50 bucks worth o'happy.
