Review: Hermes Ambre Narguile
There aren't that many fragrances in my collection that I only wear in certain seasons, but Hermes Ambre Narguile is definitely a strictly fall/winter scent for me. It is cozy and warm and rather like wearing a soft, thick sweater in scent form. Some people have compared this fragrance to apple pie, and I totally get that - not a literal apple pie, mind you, but there is something about it that is definitely reminiscent. It is a sweeter amber with a hint of salt and a swirl of very light, vague fruitiness that delights my gourmand-loving palate. I also get a bit of cinnamon. For an amber-based scent, it's not the boldest nor the longest-lasting fragrance in the world. That suits me fine, but I do put the warning out there in case you prefer a louder sillage.
