Review: Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Rose

Lots of folks are going crazy about Bite Beauty lipsticks, so of course my lipstick hoarding tendencies demanded I try one.  Rose is a fresh, bright medium pink.  It's quite pigmented and the coverage is opaque in 1-2 passes.  Here's a swatch:

It's pretty, right?  It is about the same color on the lips.  My lipstick of all lipsticks is Givenchy Le Rouge and I judge everything by that standard.  The Bite lipstick was a bit heavier in feel than the Le Rouges - it's creamier, whereas Le Rouge has more slip and feels lighter. I also found the Bite emphasized flaws in the lips a tad more than my Le Rouges do. I tested the Bite on a typical work day, putting it on in the morning and proceeding to drink coffee, eat, chew on my lip nervously during a meeting, etc - everything I normally do with my other lipsticks, in other words.  I checked a mirror after about 3 hours and was really dismayed.  This lipstick wears so unevenly.  Because it is so pigmented, the outer edges of my lips were just as bright pink as before, but it had completely worn away from the center of my lips.  I looked pretty ridiculous.  I would much prefer to reapply more often if the lipstick would wear evenly.  So, this formula is not going to work for me.  I will stay with my Le Rouge, Chantecaille Lip Chics, MAC Cremesheens, and the occasional gloss
