Review: Roja Parfums Innuendo EDP
Roja Parfums' Innuendo Eau de Parfum (pictured here with Givenchy Le Rouge Mandarine Bolero--review forthcoming) is a big, floral blast from the past. It's one of those loud, well-blended 80s florals with a few small modifications for the 21st century. Most obvious is a blast of boozy roses, petals dripping with red wine. The middle notes go a bit soapy with violet, more sedate powdery rose, and verbena. The drydown is my favorite part: musky tonka and orris impart an earthy sedateness to this otherwise exuberant throwback. It is hideously expensive, of course. But one spray really does last all day.
